HVAC: Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning

Parts used in HVAC systems generally have to be made to meet high-end specifications. More and more often designers are choosing plastic as an alternative to metal parts that are difficult to manufacture or are expensive. The plastics obviously have to satisfy the properties that metals possess naturally: they must be very strong mechanically and impact resistant at high and low temperatures, for example, or migration-proof and suitable for direct contact with drinking water. At the same time, the plastic parts must substantially reduce costs.

The trump cards of KIK in this respect are knowledge of materials and requirements, the know-how needed to design geometrically complex moulds and many years of hands-on experience in this field.
